CHARITY CAMPAIGN

Why are we fundraising?

Many veterans live on a small pension and need a variety of help in their daily lives, from financial assistance to services. We want to show our respect for them and enable more veterans to have access to everyday relief.

This support takes the form of concrete help, for example: cleaning, catering, laundry and errands, minor alterations to the home.

Status of veterans in 2025

  • At the beginning of 2025, there will still be veterans among us 1 400, and their spouses and widows of veterans will number 4 500.
  • Average age 100 years
  • Half of veterans receive a very small pension.

We're putting on a party show: Pyynikin Summer Theatre - Unknown Soldier

Pyynik Summer Theatre celebrates its 70-year history with an iconic work.

The Unknown Soldier is a visually and narratively impressive experience, but also a deeply moving declaration of peace against the senselessness of war. It is also a farewell to our last surviving veterans.
