Description
Single-colored, soft Aapa cotton socks are especially suitable for those whose feet need lightweight and as loose-fitting socks as possible.
Non-tightness refers to the socks’ roll-top cuff, which has no traditional ribbed fold at all. The idea of the roll-top cuff is to distribute the pressure caused by the sock shaft evenly across the entire ankle and calf area instead of all the pressure being directed only at the calf area. Despite the roll-top cuff, the socks stay well on the feet during everyday chores, but for sports it is worth choosing a tighter-fitting model. The socks have a regular width. They are made throughout of smooth, thin knit.
The socks are especially suitable for feet suffering from swelling, for which it is important that the sock does not press tightly against the skin, but feels as light and unobtrusive as possible. Soft cotton socks are also a good option for those who may find regular wool itchy or irritating to the skin.
Cotton does not have much warming effect, so in winter Aapa socks can easily leave your feet cold when outdoors. However, cotton is an excellent material in terms of durability, and in a lightweight sock cotton’s breathability is at its best.
This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labor.
