The Aarea is a long-legged sock in merino wool throughout and a technical 4-layer construction in the foot section. This structure provides breathability, warmth and protection against moisture. The sock works particularly well with technical hiking boots or rubber boots.

Description

Aarea socks have many good technical features that are specifically designed to meet the needs of fishermen and hunters.

The socks have a shaped heel and a light tightening at the instep to ensure the best possible fit and to keep the socks well in place even during active movement. The sole, heel, and toe areas are made of stronger merino wool terry, which increases warmth and makes the socks breathable, even when used, for example, with rubber boots. The inconspicuous toe seam prevents the formation of blisters.

Aarea socks are designed especially for fishing and hunting, but thanks to their versatile materials and features, they are also well suited for hiking or outdoor activities during winter frosts.

The warmth rating of the socks is 5, meaning even those with the coldest feet shouldn't feel cold. Merino wool is an antibacterial material that prevents odors from forming in the socks, even if your feet sweat from time to time. Polypropylene is knitted into the innermost layer of the socks, against the skin, and its purpose is to transfer moisture formed on the skin out to the outer layers. This way, your feet stay dry and warm even on long trips.

Knee-length socks are ideal for both high rubber boots and hiking boots with shafts.

This product is also made at Sukkamestari's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
