Description

The Battle sock has been developed for demanding use and is part of the Danish Defence Forces' equipment, where durability and comfort during long marches are essential. This sock is designed for long-term use and situations where reliable performance is required from the gear.

The sock's four-layer structure combines the benefits of layering into a single product. Light compression in the arch area and above the ankle helps the sock fit well on the foot and stay in place during movement. The seamless toe reduces the risk of chafing, and the front of the shin adds comfort, especially during long performances.

Battle socks are specifically designed for long marches and use in demanding conditions where foot well-being plays a central role.

The combination of merino wool and polypropylene effectively wicks moisture away from the skin and helps keep feet dry and comfortable. Thanks to the natural antibacterial properties of merino wool, the socks do not easily accumulate odors, even if your feet sweat during use. Often, simple airing is sufficient, which extends the intervals between washes and the sock's lifespan.

These socks work excellently with Gore-Tex shoes as well as, for example, with combat boots, providing consistent comfort and performance in various conditions.

This product, too, is manufactured at Sukkamestari's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
