Description

The Danish Armed Forces have chosen the Ordinary sock as part of their outdoor equipment to provide durability and comfort for demanding conditions.

The Ordinary socks are made of full-length merino wool and feature a 4-layer construction, bringing the benefits of layering to a single product. Lightweight drawstringing at the arch and above the ankle improves the fit, while a discreet toe seam on the toes prevents chafing. Cushioning at the front of the shin for added comfort.

Ordinary socks are designed for long marches in demanding conditions.

Merino wool and polypropylene combine to effectively wick moisture away from the skin, keeping feet dry and comfortable. Thanks to their antibacterial properties, the merino wool socks do not absorb odours, even if your feet sweat a little during use. For merino wool socks, ventilation is often sufficient. This effectively extends the washing interval and the life of the socks.

Ordinary socks are ideal for use with Gore-Tex boots or, for example, with maihars, offering comfort and performance in all conditions.

This product is also made in Sukkamestare's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labour.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
