Description

Merino wool resin socks with a non-binding cuff. The word "Pihka" is knitted onto the toe area of the socks, over the toes.

The Pihka polyamide yarn used in the socks contains 10 percent resin. Pihka socks are not suitable for people with a resin allergy. The looser-than-normal cuff helps prevent a tight feeling on the foot. Despite their thin structure, Saares socks are very warm and also protect the ankles from the cold.

Pihka socks are especially suitable for those who want socks with caring properties. For example, Pihka socks care for dry, cracked soles and are well suited for everyday use at work and during leisure time. They are also excellent sleeping socks. The socks are well suited for feet that suffer from swelling in the ankle area. In wash tests, the socks have been found to withstand at least 15 washes while still releasing resin.

The operating principle of the socks is based on the Pihka polyamide yarn used in them, which releases resin in a controlled way onto the skin during use. The main function of the merino wool is to make the socks breathable and keep the feet dry all day. Merino wool also has antibacterial properties, which help the socks stay odor-free for a long time, even if the feet sweat a little from time to time.

The thin socks are ideal for almost all footwear.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for merino wool socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
