Merino wool Peko resin socks are knitted with a multi-layer structure. The word Pihka is knitted on the toe area of the socks, over the toes.

The resin content of the Pihka polyamide yarn used in the socks is 10 percent. Pihka socks are not suitable for people allergic to resin. The 3-layer structure makes the socks durable and breathable. Despite their thin construction, they are warm, and the normal-length athletic cuff also protects the ankles from the cold. There is a light tightening at the arch to improve the fit. There is an unobtrusive toe seam over the toes.

Pihka socks are especially suitable for those who want socks with caring properties. Pihka socks help, for example, with dry, cracked soles and are also well suited for everyday use at work and during leisure time. They are also excellent sleeping socks. In washing tests, the socks have been found to withstand at least 15 washes while still releasing resin.

The operating principle of the socks is based on the Pihka polyamide yarn used in the socks, which releases resin in a controlled way onto the skin during use. The main function of merino wool is to make the socks breathable and keep feet dry all day long. Merino wool also has antibacterial properties that help the socks stay odor-free for a long time, even if the feet sweat a little from time to time.

The thin socks are excellent for almost all types of footwear.

This product, too, is made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labor.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for merino wool socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
