The Danish Defence Forces have chosen the Contact-liner sock as part of their outdoor equipment for year-round use.

The thin and breathable Contact-liner sock offers optimal comfort both on its own and when used as a liner sock. The sock's lightweight structure allows for excellent moisture transfer, keeping feet dry all day. The heel and toe reinforced with polyamide increase the sock's durability and extend its lifespan. The sock's snug fit and seamless toe prevent chafing and blisters.

The Contact-Liner works on its own during summer heat and as a liner sock in winter frost. Combine it, for example, with the Arctics sock chosen by the Defence Forces to achieve the best performance.

Merino wool as a material is breathable and helps regulate temperature. It adapts to the ambient temperature, warming in cold conditions and cooling in hot weather. This makes the sock a versatile choice for both everyday and active use all year round.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
