Honka - technical merino wool socks for hiking

The mid-thickness Honka socks delight with their soft texture. Thanks to the special Flextech structure, the socks are truly comfortable and flexible to wear. The thick soles soften every step even on a long hike, and the ankle-high shaft rises well above the top of the shoes. The socks have a discreet toe seam that does not cause chafing or pressure marks on the foot.

Light compression in the middle of the foot improves the fit of the socks and keeps them in place better. Thanks to the elastic structure, the socks do not cause an unpleasant feeling of pressure or constriction on the feet.

Honka socks are ideal hiking socks for year-round use. In winter, they are also suitable for outdoor activities or yard work, where there is a lot of standing and the feet need softness and warmth. The socks can be worn well on their own without a liner sock, or in cooler weather, for example with thin merino wool liner socks.

Merino wool makes the socks breathable and warm. It is naturally antibacterial, so the socks do not easily start to smell even if your feet sweat during the day. Merino wool also wicks moisture away from the skin into the outer layers of the sock, keeping feet dry. Polyamide adds durability, softness, and stretch to the socks.

The socks are at their best in hiking boots in autumn and winter, when conditions are turning colder or are cold. In ordinary sneakers, the socks are a little too thick and snug, so air cannot circulate between the sock and the shoe, and the properties of the sock are not at their best in that case.
