Honka - technical merino wool socks for hiking

The medium-thick Honka socks are a delight with their soft construction. Thanks to the special Flextech construction, the socks are really comfortable and flexible to wear. The thick soles cushion the step even on long hikes, and the ankle-length shaft reaches well above the shank of the shoe. The socks have a discreet toe seam that won't cause chafing or indentations on the foot.

A light tension in the middle of the foot improves the fit and keeps the socks in place. Thanks to the elastic structure, the socks do not cause any unpleasant sensation of pressure and compression on the feet.

The Honka socks are ideal hiking socks for year-round use. In winter, they are also suitable for outdoor activities or yard work, where there is a lot of standing and your feet need softness and warmth. The socks can be worn on their own without an understocking, or in cooler weather with thin merino wool understockings, for example.

Merino wool gives the socks breathability and warmth. It is naturally antibacterial, so even if your feet sweat during the day, they won't start to smell. Merino wool also transfers moisture from the skin to the outer layers of the sock, keeping feet dry. Polyamide gives the socks durability, softness and flexibility.

The socks are at their best in camping boots in autumn and winter when conditions are cooler or colder. For regular sneakers, socks are a little too thick and buttoned up, which prevents air from circulating between the sock and the shoe, and the sock's properties are not beneficial.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarei's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labour.
