Description

The Danish Defence Forces have selected the Ordinary sock as part of their outdoor equipment to provide durability and comfort in demanding conditions.

The fully merino wool Ordinary socks feature a 4-layer structure, bringing the benefits of layering into a single product. Light compression on the arch and above the ankle improves the fit of the socks, and the discreet toe seam on top of the toes helps prevent chafing. Padding on the front of the shin adds extra comfort.

Ordinary socks are designed for long marches and demanding conditions.

Merino wool and polypropylene together efficiently wick moisture away from the skin, keeping feet dry and comfortable. Thanks to their antibacterial properties, merino wool socks do not accumulate odors even if your feet sweat a little during use. Often, simply airing out merino wool socks is enough. This effectively extends the interval between washes and the lifespan of the socks.

Ordinary socks are an excellent match with Gore-Tex shoes or, for example, combat boots, offering comfort and performance in all conditions.

This product is also manufactured at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for merino wool socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
