Description
Soft and warm alpaca wool socks are like a hug for your feet. Alpaca wool socks are not only beautifully patterned, but also very breathable, making them perfect for poppy socks for warm feet. The socks are knitted with a discreet and beautiful pattern on the shank and around the heel. The ribbed part of the shaft has a neat double rib in the same shade as the pattern.
The Premium Alpaca socks have a shaft that extends well above the ankle and is made from a thick terry knit throughout, providing extra protection against the cold. The thick socks soften the step and feel comfortable against the skin. Up to seven times warmer than ordinary sheep's wool, alpaca wool provides effective warmth, and the strong structure of the socks adds to their warmth. The discreet top seam effectively prevents chafing and discomfort.
When considering the most ideal use for alpaca wool socks, comfort comes first. All kinds of chilling, hyggeing and hanging out is the best thing you can do with alpaca wool socks on! Alpaca wool has a low abrasion resistance, which is why we don't recommend particularly active activities with them - the less mechanical abrasion the socks are subjected to, the longer their life span will be.
The super-warm alpaca wool is also a very breathable material, and is ideal for year-round use. Synthetic fibres add wear resistance and flexibility to socks.
We recommend that you keep the use of socks and footwear together to a minimum, as in shoes the socks are always under moderate strain in terms of abrasion. However, for trips to the post office and for fetching firewood, socks are great and will keep your feet warm even when the winter frost tends to get on your skin.
This product is also made in Sukkamestare's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labour.
