Sukkamestarit is the only sock factory in Europe to use open-end NATIVA merino wool in its products. NATIVA merino wool is produced with respect for people, animals and nature. We currently save 700 000 litres of drinking water per year. How on earth do we do this?

The foot section of the socks is knitted with a multilayer structure. The sock is highly breathable and moisture-wicking. Merino wool warms and breathes, the best material for all year round in different conditions. The ankle-length shaft effectively protects the feet from the cold.

The socks are well suited for everyday use, sports, and work. If desired, the socks can be worn as liner socks and stronger merino wool socks can be worn over them to provide extra warmth, or on warmer days on their own.

In addition to warmth, merino wool gives the socks breathability and antibacterial properties. The socks do not easily start to smell, even if your feet sweat during the day, which also extends the time between washes and keeps them fresh longer. The task of polypropylene is to efficiently transfer moisture away from the skin, keeping the feet dry. Polyamide improves the socks' wear resistance.

Wear them for example with sneakers, combat boots, or boots.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labor.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for merino wool socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
