The seamless structure of the socks effectively prevents the formation of blisters and chafing. Merino wool keeps your feet warm and breathable, ensuring they feel comfortable all day long.

Merino wool is an excellent material for varying conditions. Socks with a warmth rating of 3 provide just the right amount of warmth for outdoor activities, but are also perfectly suitable for indoor use, such as office work.

Varpu socks are a great choice for everyday wear. The subdued color palette is easy to combine with other clothing. The thin structure of the sock feels comfortable in everyday shoes, from sneakers to winter boots or loafers.

Merino wool is naturally antibacterial, and therefore often just airing is enough for maintenance instead of washing. This also saves materials and extends the lifespan of the socks. Polyamide adds extra durability to the socks and elastane provides flexibility. Merino wool socks are always made using NATIVA merino wool. NATIVA merino wool is wool with an open production chain and is always mulesing free.

This product is also made at Sukkamestari's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
