Description

Ouna ski socks are knee-length, and they have a soft wool base and a compression shaft.

The shaft is thin and has light compression, which means the socks fit snugly even in tight ski or ski boots. The 4-layer structure in the foot makes the socks highly durable and warm. The shaped heel and light tightening around the arch further improve the fit of the socks. In terms of warmth rating, Ouna socks are 5, meaning they are the warmest. They do not need liner socks, but keep your feet warm on their own even in severe frost.

The socks are designed especially for skiing and cross-country skiing, but they can also be used versatilely in all winter sports where special protection against snow and cold is needed לאורך the entire foot.

Merino wool adds warmth and breathability to the socks, preventing feet from sweating. The innermost layer of the socks' 4-layer structure is polypropylene, whose main task is to move moisture away from the skin if your feet do sweat from time to time. Antibacterial merino wool also effectively prevents unwanted odors from forming in the socks, extending the time between washes and thus their service life.

In addition to ski boots, the socks also work well together with, for example, boots and winter shoes.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish work.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for merino wool socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
