Versatile and technical, the Posio socks, knitted with a 3-layer construction, are the perfect sock for every hiker's backpack, whether it's a summer or winter hike. The seamless toe prevents chafing on the foot.

Breathable and durable merino wool socks with an ankle-length sleeve are suitable for year-round use. The ankle-length shaft of the socks extends well above the hiking shoe shaft, preventing the socks from leaking inside the shoe. The thin socks feel lightweight, but are also very warm when worn on their own in cooler weather outdoors. The discreet toe seam prevents chafing or nasty indentations on the foot.

The Duratech feature of the 3-layer construction makes this sock a truly functional hiking sock. The inner layer against the skin is polypropylene, which effectively wicks moisture away from the skin. The middle layer is made of merino wool for warmth and breathability. The top layer is polyamide to protect the wool from the most active wear and to give the socks durability. A light stretch is knitted around the foot to improve the fit of the sock.

Posio socks are at their best when hiking and trekking in nature, which is demanding on socks. Thanks to their slim construction, they are also suitable for jogging, work or leisure.

This product is also made in Sukkamestare's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labour.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
