Non-restrictive classic striped thin merino wool socks for everyday use.

The sock opening and shaft are knitted to be more elastic and looser than usual, which gives the socks a non-restrictive feel on the foot. The socks also do not contain elastane.

Non-restrictive socks are best suited for those who have swelling in their feet and who often find regular socks tight around the ankle and calf. The socks are well suited for everyday use, both for casual wear and more formal dressing. The classic stripe is easy to match with a variety of outfits.

Merino wool makes the socks highly breathable and helps keep feet dry despite occasional sweating. Merino wool is also naturally antibacterial, meaning the socks stay fresh longer as the main material repels unwanted odors. Polyamide has been added to increase the socks’ durability.

The thin Vire Raita socks are suitable for almost all footwear, from sneakers to loafers and winter shoes. For heavy footwear, we recommend a thicker sock.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish work.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for merino wool socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
