Description

Hossa is a lower-cut hiking sock, where merino wool is the main material and Tencel supports and enhances moisture transfer. It is designed for outdoor activities and hiking when warmth, a pleasant feel, and effective moisture transfer are needed.

The four-layer structure efficiently moves moisture away from the skin and helps keep feet dry during use. The seamless toe reduces the risk of chafing and makes the sock comfortable even during long activities. The structure supports the foot without making the sock feel stiff or tight.

The lower shaft is especially suitable for summer hiking boots and low-cut outdoor shoes. The sock fits snugly and does not slip down during movement. The shorter shaft makes the sock feel lighter, but thanks to the materials, it is suitable for versatile use in various outdoor conditions.

Merino wool brings natural warmth to the sock and helps balance temperature in changing weather conditions. Tencel supports moisture transfer and adds softness against the skin. Polyamide improves durability and elastane helps the sock stay well in place.

The Hossa sock is suitable for hiking, trekking, and general outdoor activities. The lower shaft makes it a good choice especially for the summer season, but the merino wool-based material also allows use in cooler weather.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
