Repo - technical merino wool socks for hiking

Repo socks are the new-age outdoor socks that won the Scandinavian Outdoor Awards innovation prize. The inspiration for the Repo socks came from multi-layered clothing. Warm and breathable socks with an unobtrusive toe seam ensure a comfortable feel on your feet throughout your hike. The standard-length shaft warms the foot all the way to the calf, while the thick merino wool terry sole on the footbed ensures that the cold ground doesn't freeze your feet.

The unique multi-layer construction keeps the socks very warm even in medium thickness. The toe is knitted with merino wool-Tencel yarn, the foot has a 2-layer construction with polyamide and merino wool-Tencel yarn and the bottom is knitted with a 4-layer construction using triple merino wool-Tencel yarn and polyamide. There is a light stretch in the middle of the foot to improve the fit of the socks.

The unique multi-layer construction makes the socks very warm even in medium thickness. The high wool content of the socks makes them warm enough to withstand the harshest frosts. Repo socks replace the traditional understocking/overstocking configuration, meaning you don't need other socks underneath to provide extra warmth, but there is room for a real pair of socks for the understocking if needed.

The merino wool-Tencel combination is warming and particularly soft. Tencel adds durability to merino wool and makes an already great material even more breathable and elastic. The antibacterial merino wool makes the socks ideal for travelling, as after use they can be hung up to ventilate, even in the corner of a rucksack, and are ready to wear again. The seamless toe makes the socks comfortable to wear even on longer hikes, as the toe seam doesn't press or rub against the foot.

This product is also made in Sukkamestare's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labour.
